Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, crawl like a beetle, or do all three with this fun plate-decorating activity. One of the most recognizable pieces of ceramic art on view inClark Remix is this bug and butterfly-covered plate decorated by master Austrian artist Johann Zacharias Quast. What fun arrangement of bugs would you place on a plate? We’d love to see your own designs!

This installation, called Ages through the Ages, uses paintings across centuries to wonderful effect: “The Portraits in this exhibit are grouped by the stages of life, starting with children to the left of the entrance, and ending with portraits of older subjects.” We think it’s like looking at one family’s photo album.

In the overview for her uCurate show, The Feeling of Light and Space, this week’s guest curator Elena writes, “I picked my favorite paintings in this group and arranged them in a traditional way focusing on the themes of passage, light, and landscape space. I very much enjoyed the opportunity to curate. Thanks for the experience.” We’re so glad you were inspired by the collection!
